The work will generally include financial analysis, plan design, and compliance. &lt;br&gt;- Manage the annual actuarial valuations for pension and postretirement welfare plans for a variety of clients includes data management, analyzing data, determining plan liabilities, reconciling plan assets, and determining funding and expense requirements and projections. &lt;br&gt;- Participate in a variety of new business activities for retirement services.&lt;br&gt;- Complete special projects, such as early retirement windows and mergers and acquisition work, as needed. &lt;br&gt;- Complete plan reporting and filing requirements. &lt;br&gt;- Review benefit calculations and benefit statements. &lt;br&gt;- Determine FAS 87 and FAS 106 plan expenses and disclosures and projections. &lt;br&gt;- Prepare initial (near-final) drafts of a majority of correspondence on routine and unique actuarial services.&lt;br&gt;- Project manage client work for a number of clients. &lt;br&gt;- Provide direction to junior team members to meet client deliverable deadlines. &lt;br&gt;- Provide quality review for work of more junior team members and peer reviews for other retirement consultants.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;QUALIFICATIONS:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;- Bachelor's degree at accredited university, with a background in mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics, or computer science. &lt;br&gt;- Six plus years experience working with pension plans. &lt;br&gt;- ASA/FSA and EA credentials preferred. &lt;br&gt;- Must be client focused and have demonstrated successful client relationship/consultation skills. &lt;br&gt;- Experience as an actuarial/retirement consultant on a wide variety of clients, with demonstrated potential to grow into the lead role. &lt;br&gt;- Must be responsible and highly motivated. &lt;br&gt;- Must have excellent written and communication skills. &lt;br&gt;- Able to work independently as well as be a solid team member/team player. &lt;br&gt;- Act as a project management resource with the ability to grow into role responsible for major client management relationships. &lt;br&gt;- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills are essential. &lt;br&gt;- Fluency in WyVal, Pencost and other pertinent company’s actuarial tools, or demonstrated ability and aptitude to quickly learn these systems.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Online Application available at &lt;a href='http://www.jobs4actuary.com'&gt;www.jobs4actuary.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;For further information, email &lt;a href='mailto:info@nasearchg.com'&gt;info@nasearchg.com&lt;/a&gt; and mention Position #6581, or contact any of our recruiters at (905)-477-2962. </description><pubDate>Mon, 02 Oct 2006 16:05:36 GMT</pubDate><dc:creator>Admin</dc:creator></item></channel></rss>
